History
The Landmark Group traces its roots to 1984, when DeWayne Anderson organized DHA Securities Co., an NASD-approved Securities Broker/Dealer firm, to raise equity capital for commercial real estate ventures. In 1986, Anderson organized Anderson Development Co. to invest in historic properties. In 1993, he organized Landmark Asset Services to forge public-private partnerships for the development and management of rehabilitated properties in the Southeastern United States. Recognizing the value of having in-house expertise for the crucial rehabilitation phase of complex projects, Anderson partnered with Ed Lipsky in 1997 to form Rehab Builders, Inc. Although Anderson sold his interest in 2007, Rehab still serves as the General Contractor on the majority of Landmark projects. A licensed general contractor in North Carolina, South Carolina,Virginia, Texas, Florida, Maryland, Wisconsin and Tennessee, Rehab specializes in the rehabilitation of structures eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
Completing the vertical integration, Anderson formed Landmark Property Management Co. in 2001 to ensure a smooth transition from construction to occupancy and to protect investment interests through day-to-day oversight, upkeep and maintenance. |
